Henging Stonestaff is a renegade wizard searching for relics from the time before. Trained in the magic arts at the tower of Hoth, Henging spent most of his early life researching rare fauna. He was last seen entering the Dragon cave with accomplices. Ral Partha figure from the 90’s.
In the Hills of Hoth stands the Tower of Hoth a once famous stronghold of the Wizards of Hoth. These days it is home to the School of Zealots, a state sponsored home for over pious individuals. It is with great trepidation that the King will summon the school in times of need.

All figures painted by myself and to my own liking and yes I gloss varnish all my figures because basically I am a later day H G Wells although not as talented.
The Kingdom of Urd has a river running north to south, the River Urd Militia Boatmen are tasked with keeping the river clear of danger. Split into four companies, the R.U.M patrol the length and breadth of the river Urd. The fourth company also undertake voyages across the oceans. I used Foundry Pirates for the fourth company, specifically from the special weapons squad range. These figures can still be brought for around £2/figure.
Welcome to Urd an imaginary world of fantasy that hails back to the late 1970’s. Of course this world only appeared in the realms of my AD&D campaign over the course of twenty years. With the advent of warhammer fantasy battles I set a new course of collecting and painting 25-28mm figures. However, although I was greatly impressed by the setting and figures of Games Workshop I found the game itself terrible! I just could not accept that a unit of 20 orcs/goblins was ever going to move around in neat ranks and rows. The whole game smacked of old wargames from the previous decade (my formative years were spent playing WWII wargames). These days I play occasionally and to ‘house’ rules.
