Don’t know why but I timed myself painting this classic plastic Eldar last night. From undercoat to varnish it took 1 hour and 5 minutes, this included multiple uses of the hairdryer. Was it worth it, probably not, I have no real need to ‘speed’ paint and the finished article included several errors. Still on the plus side there is one more figure in the war cabinet and it was exciting! – Erilliath Loathil, a washed out guardian awaiting the war.
Finished the first of ten from a Lizard Swarm blister. Will make one stand with five Lizards, but will probably mount the others on single bases. – Sqitchyital the Lizard was hoping his Skink master had some juicy beetles for supper!
Second Eldar finished today, my usual sloppiness starting to creep in. Should of spent a bit more time sorting out some detail but the desire to make it shiny won. – Gil-galad the 500 year old Eldar, a master of the support weapons, has been thinking of a new path to follow. High on his list is poetry or fashion design!
For the last 30 years Illyarion Idolian had followed the path of the Artist and Entertainer. There would be a shock waiting when the Gunnery Master insisted on short back and sides!
This is the second Eldar ever I have painted. I guess it was always one of those armies I would of liked to of collected properly, but never did. I don’t have big plans for the Eldar other than a slow burn project over the course of this year.
Next up on paint desk is the other crew man already primed and ready to go.
Just completed this one earlier. – D’But the chaos fiend had no knowledge of his creation but was reasonably happy none the less. As long as he could play with his stones he was good. It was not for him to know his creator had left three stones of demonic stupidity!
Kruegar Zan is a flamboyant Orc warrior of the Zotten Mountains. His small motley crew of orcs, goblins and bandits tend to pick as many fights as they possibly can! – Marauder Miniatures Orc as per advert.
Brought these two chaps off ebay last month and have started on the left-hand one. I’m calling him the The Unclean Demon Troll Bonesplitter! Took me a while fumbling through the old catalogues to understand what I had. Demon Prince legs, Bonesplitter the Rat Ogre torso and right arms, an unclean one left arm (not 100%) and a good old Troll head. I’m sure he will fit in with the rest of the chaos horde well. Hopefully in a couple of days I’ll have him finished and ready to show!
Zen Ron the Chaos Sorcerer and his mighty magic hands, battled recently in a tabletop game I played over Christmas last year He had joined forces with a nurglesque unclean one and his minions. Their goal was to destroy a stone of power close to the Lizard jungle. It was a fun battle that saw the lizardmen easily overcome a ragtag lot of plague rats and plaguebearers. The overwhelmingly superior Saurus on carnosaur smashed all the chaos marauders and frightened off the chaos command. The funniest bit was the two skinks on top of a hill that killed off several marauders with their bows and then survived two rounds of attacks from more marauders. I’m sure a small token will be blessed to them from the king! – The classic Citadel Heroquest Sorcerer with the oversized hands.
Dangledin the dwarf has traversed Urd for most of his life searching for the Closing Stone (Owl totem). More figures from CP Miniatures, who often add an extra figure when you buy a few!
